Many people with dexterity impairments find it hard to keep their hands stable and control finger movements flexibility. Those people might have trouble grasping and cutting small fruits/vegetables using a traditional knife. This fruit cutter is designed to help them cut things small without challenging their hand dexterity.

The biggest challenge was to lock and unlock the rotation of the hinges. I designed a detent mechanism (see above) that worked really well.
