Inspiration

I got my inspiration from the memory where my parents told me I could hear the sound of the sea from a conch when placing it near my ear. That's why I decided to create a private, tangible, and mythical experience using a can by creating this hand-made speaker. 

Another practical advantage is the sound augmentation effect that a can provides over the speaker. 

Process

I made my speaker mainly out of copper wires. Then I decorated the can so that it looks like an magical item that a child might be interested in. I chose gold and purple to decorate the can. In addition, the buttoms of the can were opened, so the edge was sharp. I added a soft yet decorative ribbon on the edge so that when you put your ears close to it, it won't hurt them.
